One Week until I join my fellow B24 trainees in Arlington. For me, it is the beginning of an exciting new part of my life. And I need some excitement. I spent one whole day last week just dedicated to finding shoes.
I am also aware that for many it is One Week until I leave. Only one week left. It's inevitable that I think about what I'll miss: marriages, gravies, a friend returning from war, beach days, an 8th grade graduation, the Greek fest, rollerblading, the World Series and how much my cousins grow up each day that I'm away. But it's not like I will ever truly be gone. I will be sending massive amounts of pictures so you will actually get tired of hearing about me (and I expect pictures in return <stern finger wag>). I will still share in your joy and disappointments and you will in mine. So let's not see this as Goodbye but as "See you later" and we'll have some stories to tell.
If you were wondering about the title of the blog then watch the video. I could've gone with something like "Chronicling Bulgaria" or "A Sasha Adventure in Bulgaria" but I decided to use an obscure reference to something that makes me smile.

Hi Sasha,
My name is Sarah and I'm a B24 as well! I'll see you on Friday!
Hey! Thanks for the comment. I'm from VA too... but the Arlington part. Long way to go on Friday! Ha. Looking forward to meeting you! And I can totally concur about the cousins growing up thing - my oldest one is 8. Breaks my heart a little bit... but I'm excited. See you soon!
Katie
